Review: Jabra Storm Bluetooth

Over the years, Bluetooth headsets and accessories have lost an edge and become more or less obsolete. However, with Jabra Storm Bluetooth headset, it is clear that the designers of these headsets are thinking out of the box and coming up with more advance and user-friendly products.

Unboxing of the Jabra Storm Bluetooth reveals a bunch of other accessories other than the product. Extra ear gels are provided so that if the original ones are damaged or lost you have an extra pair in handy. The extra ear gels come in several vibrant colors which you can change according to your preferences. To enable you to listen to in windy condition, there is a windsock for voice clarity.

When it comes to the design of the Jabra Storm Bluetooth headsets, it is quite impressive in it. The headset is quite lightweight and designed to snug in easily in your ears, which most of the Bluetooth headsets are not able to provide.

The materials with which it has been crafted make the headset very comfortable to wear. You will not even notice that you are wearing the Bluetooth headset. By simply rotating the ear gel and the speaker, you can wear the headset on both the ears.

The microPower technology in the battery of the Bluetooth headset gives it the talk time of 10 hours and standby time of 10 days which are quite impressive. According to the company’s claim, it takes 2 hours to fully charge the device. The operating distance is 30 meters which is based on the rating of Bluetooth 4.0.

You can pair the device with eight devices all together and two concurrently. The Wind Noise Blackout feature lets you cancel the noise in windy conditions thus ensuring clear voice. The device also supports some of the voice guidance features and you can pick the call by saying yes or no.

This feature, however, must be used only when there is no ambient noise otherwise the extra sensitive mike can answer or reject the call on its own. All the buttons and the keys are placed strategically placed on the spine of the headset for easy accessibility.

As far as the performance of Jabra Storm is concerned, it does not disappoint. The talk time and the standby time are very close to what is claimed by the company. The voice clarity and the noise cancellation are also quite impressive.

Setting up the device is a cakewalk and even if you have not done it before, you will not face any problem. It automatically connects to the paired devices as soon as they are in the range. Priced on the higher side for a Bluetooth headset, it is still a good buy considering the quality. However, it is strictly for those who find talking with the phone in their hands annoying.
