Review: HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 5575 All-in-One Printer

HP has always been among the front runners when it comes to high quality and economical printers. A very amazing thing about the printers sold by HP is that they are ideal for home as well as office use. The line of ink advantage printers launched by HP has gained immense popularity as these printers deliver affordable as well as efficient printing. The ink advantage printers use special cartridges that are low-priced but deliver very high print quality.

The HP deskjet ink advantage 5575 all-in-one printer is another amazing printer in the ink advantage series. Simple yet appealing in design, this printer comes with a black body, and can be kept anywhere in your house or office. It does not look alien among other appliances. As the name suggests, the 5575 is a multi-function printer that along with printing, can scan and copy your documents as well.

Not only documents, this printer can print cultured photos and can also be used for web printing. The photos printed are borderless and of lab quality. The documents are laser quality as well. The front of the printer features a 5.5 cm monochrome LCD display that provides information about the status of printing and other operations.

The display is touchscreen, and can also be used to operate the printer without connecting it to a PC. Though the monocratic display makes it a lot easier to use the printer, it does not provide a lot of operating options. The top of the printer incorporates a flatbed scanner that also works as the copier.

The printer’s functions can be accessed via wireless communication for an easier interface as well. The traditional wired connection with a PC also works. The wireless setup works with smartphones and tablets also. The Deskjet Ink Advantage 5575 all-in-one printer can scan 4 pages per minute, print colored pages at a speed of 8 pages per minute, and print black and white pages at a speed of 12 pages per minute.

The copier can produce 21 black and white, and 19 colored copies per minute. The 5575 supports A4, A5, B5, DL, C6 and A6 media sizes by default, and custom sizes from 76×127 to 216×356 mm. The printer works on HP thermal inkjet technology and is ideal for printing 100 to 250 pages per month. The printer supports Hi-Speed USB 2.0 in terms of wired connectivity, and supports Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n in case of a wireless setup.

The printer is compatible with the Windows OS as well as the Mac OS X. The printer also supports printing from mobile devices running on android, iOS, blackberry, and windows. The scanner also provides an option to scan documents directly to your email via the printer control app. However, the all-in-one printer lacks faxing capabilities.

The HP Deskjet Ink Advantage 5575 all-in-one printer is a very affordable printer that offers multiple features of the best quality. Overlooking the lack of options on the LCD display, the 5575 is a decent printer that works at satisfactory printing, scanning and copying speeds. At the price it is being offered at, the 5575 is an incredible all-in-one printer.
