Review: Acer Aspire R11

Acer is known as one of the leading Taiwanese multinational corporations dealing in hardware and electronics. One of the latest additions in the product bucket of this company includes Acer Aspire R11. It is definitely small in size but a definite superior quality convertible laptop available on the laptop market. The device is user friendly and preferred by many who are looking for a good option at a budget friendly price.

As mentioned above that this laptop is small in size but truly well designed convertible laptop which gives the appearance of built which will last long. The size is 298x211x21mm. It comes with a chunky look shell made of hard plastic giving it an appearance like the protection cover which we buy for Smartphone.

It will protect the device well from any scratch or scrapes and it’s hard to get such feature even in any expensive model of laptop. If we make a Specification-wise comparison then we can say that it offers almost features equivalent to the model Toshiba Satellite C40-C netbook.

The Acer Aspire R11 is having a dual-core 1.6GHz Intel Celeron N3050 processor. Aside to this it comes with 2GB of RAM. If you are looking for super performance then don’t expect it to balance with your weird imagination. It will work well for you if you choose doing tasks carefully.

You can be rest assured about the fact that Aspire R11 is not a laptop which can be used for intensive multimedia tasks. It will play the videos for you fine and surely enjoy doing work on documents, emails as well as browse web. You may end up facing some problem situations in few occasions when you expect the laptop to act fast to any action.

When the discussion is on product performance then we need to make the comparison with Toshiba Satellite C40-C netbook. Storage capacity is one such feature of this device which helps is stand ahead of Toshiba Satellite C40-C in the market. R11 is having perfect 500GB hard disk mechanical storage capacity. But besides advantage there is one disadvantage for this device. High storage capacity is good but it turns into a nightmare when windows gets slow and acts in a less responsive manner in comparison to memory of solid state. It will offer you more than enough space for storing video and audio files

It weighs 1.6kg and comes with 13.3in touch screen. The colour coverage is a con for the device as it is below-60% of sRGB range and makes the sharpness of images and videos bit low. The battery performance is very impressive making the width just 21mm thick. Other added features include 802.11ac Wi-Fi with gigabit Ethernet port, two USB ports, 3.5mm headset jack and SD card reader.

It can be a perfect buy subject to the patience of the user for handling Windows 10 touchpad glitches. Aside to this it appears to be a tough competitor for Satellite Radius 11 as well as HP Pavilion x360 in terms of price.
