Review: Panasonic HC-V770 Camcorder

Camcorders Reviews

The Panasonic HC-V770 Camcorder is the brand’s front runner when it comes to full HD camcorders. Models that record videos at 4K are also available, but the Panasonic HC-V770 Camcorder is the supreme product when the full HD line-up of products is concerned.

Also, full HD camcorders are quite cheap when compared to the ultra HD ones. The Panasonic HC-V770 Camcorder does boast a wide array of intelligent and interesting features.

The embedded touch screen can be used to control the camcorder to a large extent. Most of the features and functions are accessible via the touch screen. However, a function dial is also present near the lens that can be used to make quick manual settings. The device is quite convenient to hold in both hands as well.

Compared to other camcorders, the Panasonic HC-V770 Camcorder is considerably better as it boasts a 1/2.3in CMOS that is illuminated at the back. The CMOS is loaded with 12.76 megapixels that are considerably higher than the 6.03 megapixels required for full HD recording.

The surplus pixels are used to provide better zooming capabilities. The Panasonic HC-V770 Camcorder can zoom up to 50x. The Camcorder consists of a feature called hybrid image stabilization. This technology merges the traditional optical image stabilization and the in-body sensor stabilization.

This feature makes the device capable of handling vertical as well as horizontal movement along the axis. This is the best image stabilization technique available in the market. The maximum resolution of Panasonic HC-V770 Camcorder is 1080p. 1080p videos are recorded at 50fps.

The AVCHD mode facilitates full HD video recording at the speed of 28Mbits/sec whereas the MP4 mode can be used to record the 1080p videos at a speed of 50Mbits/sec. There is also an option for slow motion recording at full HD resolution.

The video is first recorded at 100fps and then Panasonic’s video processor called the Crystal Engine later interpolated the video to 200fps. The interpolation is twice as better as the previous models launched by the brand. Finally, the playback is achieved at 50 frames per second. The Panasonic HC-V770 Camcorder also has web based capabilities.

Using Wi-Fi, it is possible to control the device remotely and utilize it as a surveillance camera. The USTREAM service also enables the users to stream online. The camcorder also has a feature called TwinCamera. Using this and with Wi-Fi connectivity, you can stream videos recorded via your smartphone’s front or rear camera on the Panasonic HC-V770 Camcorder’s display.

The twin camera feature will also work with another Panasonic Camcorder with Wi-Fi capabilities. The Panasonic HC-V770 Camcorder performs the way it is supposed to. The images produced are vibrant and detailed. Also, the slow motion works flawlessly as well. In in low light settings, this device can work quite efficiently.

A built-in LED light that has a range of a few meters comes to the rescue here. The Panasonic HC-V770 Camcorder has a lesser capable lens when compared to a DSLR. However, it is an amazing full HD camcorder with a rich set of features. If you cannot shell more bucks and get a 4K camcorder or a DSLR, the Panasonic HC-V770 Camcorder is probably your best bet!
