Fanta Masters Championship Finals to be Held at Yas Marina this Weekend

This weekend, Yas Marina Circuit will play host to yet another world-class eSports event, the Fanta Masters Championship Finals and Ultimate Team Qualifier. For the third consecutive year, 32 of the best gamers from across the region, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates the Levant, Jordan, Egypt and more will go head-to-head at Yas Events Centre and compete in games such as EA Sports’ FIFA 17 in the two-day eSports tournament, with $25,000 in prize money up for grabs.

After competing in more than nine regional qualifiers, all 32 competitors will take part in the group stages on Friday 9 December. From there, only 16 teams will make it to the playoffs held on on Saturday 10 December. The Fanta Masters Championship Finals on Saturday will also be livestreamed, live from the Power League Gaming (PLG) Studio at Yas Marina Circuit, on multiple channels for fans to enjoy.

For the first time, the Fanta Masters Championship Finals will also act as an official “Ultimate Team Championship Regional Qualifier”, which will open the door for the finalist to reach the “Ultimate Team Championship Regional Final” in Sydney in February 2017. The finalists will compete for a $50,000 Prize Pool for Season 1 of the Ultimate Team Championship Series.

The winners from Sydney will then continue onto the Ultimate Team Championship Final, then on to the FIFA Interactive World Cup (FIWC) Grand Final in London in 2017 that will see teams compete for $300,000 prize pool and a trip for the winner and their guest to FIFA’s annual football award ceremony.
