Canon hosts an interactive event

Canon Middle East hosted an interactive event for the photographer’s community in the UAE. During the event, attendees witnessed the unveiling of the much-awaited full-frame mirrorless camera and got a chance to use the System in a setting which allowed them to fully experience the different features of the camera and its lenses.

The showcase also welcomed Clinton Lubbe, an experienced professional photographer and a Canon evangelist, to do a live unboxing of the camera and talk first-impressions and his experience using the Canon EOS R System.

Venkatasubramanian Hariharan, Business Unit Director, B2C at Canon Middle East said “The launch of Canon’s first full-frame mirrorless camera marks an exciting moment for us. This is an innovation that is going to redefine the future of storytelling and is designed to meet the growing demands of storytellers around the world for a better performing mirrorless camera. This is the first of its type event in Dubai, and Canon will be hosting similar showcases around the region to ensure all our partners are fully aligned on our newly launched product, and all different types of photographers get a chance to experience the camera and extend their vision into the future of mirrorless camera with Canon.”

EOS R sets the standard for the smaller, lighter full-frame camera of tomorrow. The EOS R System is a result of detailed research by Canon engineers and professional photographers and filmmakers. The new system takes the EOS platform to greater heights, with higher performance, lens design possibilities and flexibility, resulting in higher image quality and enhanced usability.

Over the years, the EOS system has grown to become the most recognized imaging system in the world for photography and filmmaking professionals. The EOS R System with RF mount and Dual Pixel CMOS AF delivers unmatched optical excellence, the world’s fastest autofocus and faster communication between camera and lens.
