When you check into a hotel, most hotels hand you a plastic keycard that you use to lock and unlock doors, use the elevator, the hotel’s amenities, and so on. Aloft Al Ain, a part of Marriott International, which was opened recently in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, UAE, does it differently.
The hotel is located in the heart of Al Ain in Al Towayya. Aloft Al Ain is a place that offers a modern, stylish and personalised experience to each and every guest. And the hotel, as we hinted before, is tech’d out! It incorporates technology into all aspects of the hotel.
The hotel offers SPG Keyless application that allows you to use your smartphone to check in, get your room number and unlock your door. SPG Keyless works through the SPG app, which is available for both iOS and Android devices.
And the use of technology does not stop there. Further enhancing the in-room experience, the guest rooms also feature super-fast USB charging stations, Bluetooth speakers, wireless printers and electronic do not disturb facility and paperless checkout options.
The hotel also offers electronic ordering systems that send your desires straight to the management without the need to physically speak to anyone. These ordering systems have been installed in room kitchens, that sets things up for the ultimate reclusive stay.
In addition, Aloft Al Ain also uses motion sensors to switch off lights and other electronic equipment when you leave a room, in order to conserve energy. The hotel’s REX (Room Expeditor) is the first hospitality application that makes housekeeping room assignment process effective.
Aloft Al Ain has 153 rooms with chic contemporary designs and 22 spacious suites including 10 Aloft Suites, 10 Savvy Suites, one Breezy Suite and one Ultra Savvy Suite. The hotel is perfect for adventure seekers, families, groups and tech-loving new millennials.
Our check-in procedure was quite breezy compared to what we have experienced at other hotels. I was quite blown away by how courteous and welcoming the staff was at Aloft Al Ain. The place is not too far away from the city center – finding it was quite easy.
The overall ambience of the place is quite good. Especially the Splash Pool and the “The Rooftop” are a brilliant venue to unwind the day in style. The rooms of the hotel were spacious and the interiors were tastefully decorated. If you are looking for a casual weekend getaway, the Aloft Al Ain could turn out to be an outstanding place to go to.
